And The Winner Is…Touchdown!

Super-Big-Award-Show Infomania

While the beginning of the year can often feel slow and sluggish, there are typically a few award shows celebrating art or a sports showdown to look forward to.

I'm not a big football follower, but who can be opposed to a day of delicious nacho cheese dips, clever (and expensive) commercials, and a now-annual Puppy Bowl!? (Thanks, Animal Planet). It's even been proven that Americans consume more on Super Bowl Sunday than any other holiday

For the Oscars, however, I used to dress up, invite friends over, and force everyone to fill out their own prediction ballot—no matter how little we knew about the Coen brothers. I would eventually learn that there was a load of other movies to see that aren't formally recognized by The Oscars

But anything with Meryl? I'm there.

Whether you're betting on Super Bowl Squares or Best Cinematography—may the envelope bearers be with you.
